1 Cleveland 2006 Boat Show

Jan 26, 2006
The Cleveland Model Boat Club is sharing the pool with Chesapeake Performance Models, maker of the CR 914 sailboat. The sailboat guy is there hoping to make some money, so he gets most of the water time to demonstrate his wares. The CMBC is scheduled for demonstartions 2 or 3 times a day. I usually run the SKIPJACK for the first 10-15 minutes of our demos, and then shift to one of my surface ships - usually the TAMAROA or PT 188. I've passed out several SubCommittee brochures and told many more about the SubRegatta. A few people have said they would go to the SubRegatta to find out more about our models. I purchased one of Merriman's "Intro to R/C Sub" videos a few years ago, and play that at least twice a day. Most of the video tape the club has is nitro and gas race boats. The "semisub" picture is of a semi-submersible boat built by a gentleman in the Cleveland Amatuer Boat Building Society. The semi-sub is powered by a modified electric trolling motor.
